We started the adventure and left the office in Uyuni at 10:30 am. heading to the train cemetery, where we will have an estimated visit of approximately 30 minutes, a historical place since before tourism Uyuni citizen lived from the export of minerals and  they precisely used these trains, now they form a train cemetery with a surreal aspect, excellent for take pictures, then we return to the jeeps and head to the great Salar de Uyuni, but before we visit Colchani, which is the town where we can observe the handicrafts made of salt, such as salt llamas, salt ashtrays, wool sweaters flames etc.

Entering the salt flats we will visit the salt piles, salt blocks and the salt flats eyes. Afterwards we will visit the first salt hotel in Bolivian and in all whole word (a real salt hotel), Island of the flags of the whole world. Rally Dakar salt monument. Salt hotel “Playa Blanca”, in this place where there are chairs and tables made entirely of salt, we will have lunch, its included in tour package, drinks and fruits are included. (vegetarian and vegan option available).

We arrive right in the center of the Uyuni salt flats to visit the Isla del Pescado, commonly known as the incahuasi island, where we find old cactus with more than 1000 years old, fossil algae and vizcachas, the entrance fee is 30 bs per person. its not included. (The entrance fee ticket gives them the right to use the bathroom and water on the Island).

Then, we will go to the water area in salt flats, where we put on our rain boots and we will have a photography session with reflections and the mirror effect and a magical sunse

Stars tour, after sunset, we bundle up to carry out the astrophotography session with professional Canon and Nikon cameras, real led lights and a set of non-polluting lights, this is the real tour of the stars. Nothing imitations like other agencies who make assemblies with cell phones, Also, we have metallic structures and lights, all is real, then we will deliver the photos digitally through google drive so that the photos do not lose quality, since the photos are taken in high quality.

Then, we will go to Uyuni to spend the first night in a salt hotel. it has heating, private bathroom and hot water, the dinner is included.

 

This day we wake up at 8:00 am, have breakfast, and then the 4×4 will pick you up at 09:00 am. from the door of the salt hotel to go back to the Uyuni salt flat, this time to visit the Tunupa Volcano, we ascend to the Tunupa Volcano viewpoint in the wagon, from there you can see the entire salt flat.

We will visit the mummies or “Chullpas”, which are a culture of ancient people of very small stature, which are mummified in exactly the same way they were found when they appeared, when the Tunupa Volcano erupted thousands of years ago. At the botton of the Volcano We will also see a lagoon with some flamingos, the background in this area is a very heavenly place.

We will visited Galaxies and Devil’s Cave and Chantani Museum (an exclusive spot in this tour).

After 2 days in the salt flats, we will go to a town called San Juan to spend the second night of the tour in a salt lodge, you can choose a double or twin room with a private bathroom and hot water. (There is no heating) In this salt lodging is where we will have dinner and spend the second night of the tour. (dinner and drinks are included)

We leave the salt flats behind and we wake up at 08:00 am. to have breakfast in the same salt lodging and then we begin with the third day of the tour.

We visit the Ollague Volcano, a active volcano. We will only see it from the viewpoint, we did not climb it for a time reason.

Going in to Salvador Dalí’s desert, we will visit 3 lagoons:  Laguna Honda, Hedionda and Ramaditas, where we can observe many flamingos. (Lunch on route)

The stone tree in Salvador Dalí’s desert. Finally, in the afternoon we visit the Laguna Colorada located in the Eduardo Avaroa National Park Reserve, to go into the reserve have to you buy the entrance fee (150bs. per person) because it is a government tax for foreign citizens is not included in the tour fee, Then, we will go to Huayajara town or Polkes town to spend the night in double or twins rooms with private bathroom and hot water.

This is the last day of the tour and perhaps the coldest, so you have to bundle up very well, we get up early to visit the Geysers and Fumaroles, we have to go at that time to find the high fumaroles 10 to 15 meters high height, if we go for example at 10am  in the morning the fumaroles are small and that is not interesting.

Then, we will visit the hot springs where we have breakfast and this is the place where you can take a hot bath with a very pleasant temperature, it is recommended to bring a towel and swimsuit to go in the pools so you can renew energy after 3 days of tour.

After spending a very pleasant moment in the hot springs, we are going to visit the Licancabur Volcano and the Laguna Verde, it is next to the white lagoon, close this ares is the national border between Bolivia and Chile and those passager who wish to finish the tour In San Pedro de Atacama Chile, they will take a vehicle transfer to Chile (50 USD additional cost) and end their tour at 2:00 p.m. in San Pedro de Atacama Chile, where we end our services, the other passengers will return to Uyuni through the Valley of the Rocks, Villa Mar Oasis and San Cristóbal mining center.

We will arrive in Uyuni city on the third day around at 6:00 p.m. where we end our services.
